Resiliency - Improvement - Patience - Aggression School is never out when you are a player. Work on your game all the time. When you are facing a tough opponent, study their habits and learn how they win. Read poker books, and seek out players that are better than you. Over time, by challenging yourself and working on your game, you will become a feared, and fearless, competitor. Poker is not gambling – poker is strategic investing. Temper your aggression with patience. Be patient and wait for profitable situations to arise. When the time is right, get your chips in the pot aggressively. Having the patience to wait for profitable situations to occur is clearly correct strategy. Betting and Raising is the key to success at the poker table. Be the player that bets and raises, not the player that checks and calls. Aggressive poker players have two ways to win: they can have the best hand, or their opponent can fold. Pressure your opponents with a near constant barrage of aggression and your time at the table will be quite profitable. Make them pay to play and get ready to collect.
